EMILY: Have you seen the news?

LORELAI: Ever?

EMILY: A bad storm is heading your way. It’s already hitting us here.

LORELAI: Well, don’t panic. I’ll get the ark, you get the animals.

When Emily calls Lorelai to warn her that a blizzard is on the way, Lorelai resorts to her trademark comebacks. She refers to the story from Genesis 6-8, when it rained so much, everyone died. But Noah built his ark to save the animals and his family.
