SOOKIE: I love to dress up in those cozy clothes, the furry boots, and curl up with a Sue Grafton mystery. I got R is for Ricochet and S is for Silence… If the ski conditions are good, I can get a good 8 hours of Kinsey Millhone in.

Sookie is explaining to Lorelai how she and Jackson go on skiing-slash-reading weekends. He skis, and she reads.

The Kinsey Millhone Mysteries are a series of novels by Sue Grafton. Each title comes from a different letter of the alphabet: A is for Alibi, B is for Burglar, C is for Corpse, D is for Deadliest, and so forth.

On this outing, Sookie was planning to read R is for Ricochet and S is for Silence, but she later reports back that S is for Silence sucked. But it may have been her hormones talking.
