Yeah, parts are certainly funny. I also like the first part, until they get to “Is it funny? Or is it just fast?” And it’s funnier now than it was when I first saw it on TV.

I thought parts of the Gilmore Parody were funny. The end comment was especially funny: “nine-two in the ratings, but that’s #1 for the WB.” Ha.

hmm…some of it is better than the original (especially what lorelai says to kirk! she was waay too quiet in the original) but i don’t think lorelai would have said “this is weird”. and luke saying “this place has a lot of memories for you”…???…i don’t know… i liked that about the original, you know, the fact that it just WAS weird and that they didn’t talk about it.
but still, good job!

RADPrint, I’m sorry to hear you’re jealous of Luke & Lorelai. I actually don’t think it’s so much being destined to be together as it is just accepting togetherness. Up until recently, Luke and Lorelai have been rather clumsy at it. But I’ve noticed they’ve each gotten much better at it over the past year or so. In any case, I’m so glad this song makes you believe in love, because love is worth believing in.

I’ve got, like, a page of notes on Luke & Lorelai from when I recently watched season 6 and 7. I’ll try to get to them soon. And definitely before the next episode airs in April. Of course, I might be all wrong, because I also really want Lorelai and Luke to get together and live happily ever after.

And I don’t know what the writers and producers of the show will do. They can take the story in a different direction. (And if the rumours are to be believed…) I guess that’s another reason I’d love a season 8. It would give the writers another year to get L&L together.
