“So, Courtney, what about you?” is a reference to Kurt Cobain’s girlfriend, and later wife, Courtney Love. Earlier in the scene in the car, Rory says to Jess, ” Do not give me that whole ‘I’m so misunderstood, Kurt Cobainy’ thing.” I think the rest explains itself…
