LORELAI: Well, we have to just pick up something here and we’ll tell him that we got it in Denmark.
RORY: Pick up what?
LORELAI: Something.
RORY: What? This is Stars Hollow. Everything you buy here has a Hello Kitty stamped on the bottom.
Is this why half of everything in Lorelai’s house has Hello Kitty on it?
Dunno. So not helpful, too. The problem is that Rory and Lorelai forgot to bring Luke back a present from their trip through Europe. Nothing was good enough, and they kept putting it off and putting it off. And now… What?
Rory sure is quick with the Hello Kitty cracks, isn’t she? The implication is that there’s nothing they can get in Stars Hollow that’s worthy of saying it might have been a gift from Europe.
Lorelai finally grabs a jar of jam from Sookie’s pantry, labels it “Fruits de la Terre,” and tries to pass it off as… Well, it didn’t work, anyhow.
