Episode 104

Rory gets a D on a paper at school, but is too humiliated to tell her mother. But Lorelai meets Rory’s professor, Max Medina, at a parent-teacher meeting, at which she finds out about the D. They stay up all night studying for a big test on Shakespeare. But they oversleep, and Rory, running late, takes the jeep. She gets sidetracked, however, when she collides with a deer. This makes her late for the test, and she is forbidden from taking it, resulting in a nasty argument between Lorelai and Headmaster Charleston, with Mr. Medina and Rory stuck in the middle.

Meanwhile, a restaurant critic reviews Sookie’s food favorably. Except for the magic risotto, which was “perfectly fine.” After extensive research, she discovers that he had eaten it with the wrong wine. So she hunts down the critic and visits him at his house to deliver another plate of the magic risotto, this time with the correct wine.
