Christopher drives into Stars Hollow on a motorcycle, invoking a bout of nastiness from Lorelai. He wants to be more involved in Rory’s life, or so he says. Rory gives him a tour of Stars Hollow and takes him to the book store. He buys her a book… Or rather, he tries to. But his credit card is declined.
Lorelai arranges to help Luke paint the diner after Friday night dinner. Lorelai and Rory bring Christopher to the elder Gilmore’s, where Chris’s parents will also be attending. A huge fight breaks out, and Lorelai and Chris escape to Lorelai’s room on the balcony, where things get hot and heavy and Lorelai loses her sense of self-control. And in the morning, she realizes she’s forgotten about Luke.
Then Chris asks her to marry him.
