Richard is recovering from his open-heart surgery. Christopher and Gigi are staying with his mother. He stopped by the hospital for an hour, and that’s it. Then Chris shows up at the inn with a “I guess we should talk.” He feels justified in staying away from her, because he needed space after their fight. Lorelai stands up for herself and how she feels, and he says that’s not fair. And Rory takes Lorelai’s side. In any case, Chris can’t get over his feelings about Luke, and he blames it on Lorelai. So he proposes divorce.
Rory returns to school after the surgery. Paris is still plowing through Operation Finish Line. Rory receives a care package from Logan. And Paris notes that Logan has completely reformed.
