Episode 716

When Rory gets an opportunity to meet with an associate editor from the New York Times, Lorelai takes over planning Lane’s baby shower. But Mrs. Kim isn’t coming to the shower, because she doesn’t approve of the way Lane plans to raise her children. And Lane refuses to force religion on her children as her mother did to her. Lorelai manages to get them to patch things up, but in the process Lane realizes that she may react poorly if her kids decided they want to have religion. And she asks Rory to be the kids’ “Lorelai Gilmore.”

Meanwhile, Logan reveals to Rory that his Internet start-up is in big trouble due to a patent lawsuit. And Logan blames himself for not having researched that possibility ahead of time. So he starts staying out late, drinking, and plans a trip to Vegas with Colin and Finn.

Liz warns Luke about being too set in his ways, and Luke decides to sell his dad’s boat. And he buys a new one.
