RORY: I’m sorry. I lost my Macy Gray CD, and I need caffeine.
LORELAI: Ooh, I have your CD. (pulling the CD from her purse)
RORY: Thief!
LORELAI: Sorry, and I will get you some coffee.

Later in this episode, after the girls’ fight about Dean, Rory sulks in her room. On her CD player, she turns on Macy Gray’s song “I Try.” Then Lorelai goes out into the living room and turns the same song on the CD player there. Probably Lorelai had made a copy of Rory’s Macy Gray CD.
