Episode 105

At the Chilton bake sale, Lorelai encounters Max Medina. She’s still upset because he refused to let Rory take her test on Shakespeare in “The Deer-Hunters”. But with wit and persistence, he convinces her to make a tentative peace and meet him for coffee. At the coffee shop, he persuades her to let him take her out on a date.

Meanwhile, Babette and Morey’s cat Cinnamon passes away. In true Star’s Hollow style, the whole town attends a wake for the beloved pet, a wake that Lorelai and Rory organized. Amongst all the drama of Cinnamon’s wake, Lorelai forgets two very important things:

1. She needed to talk to Rory about dating her teacher before the night of the big date.
2. She scheduled the wake for that same night.

So when Max shows up to take Lorelai out, and Rory sees him, Lorelai has explaining to do on two fronts.
