(Gilmore Girls fan site)I was trying to come up with a character who does not attend town meetings. Has Michel ever attended one? Someone told me he doesn’t even live in Stars Hollow. If not, where does he live?
Another question: What ethnicity is Gypsy supposed to be? I want to say Hispanic, but I know southern Connecticut was settled by Portuguese immigrants. Is she perhaps supposed to be one?
…I just saw it last week! What about Mrs. Kim? I bet she’s never been to a town meeting.
I also wonder if Zach is supposed to be Jewish. He’s made a couple of references that I’ve seen: “cover the mirrors, rip your clothes; it’s over” referring to the band breaking up pre-Gil; and at the Bat Mitzva gig in Hartford, “Let’s hear it for the whole *mishpocha*”.
Yeah, what about Zack? We don’t know much about his background, do we? But you’re right. He does seem to know about Hebrew culture. And Zack is a Hebrew name, too. So, yeah. Could be.

Michel attended one town meeting IIRC, but under duress. It was the season-4 episode where Taylor was making Lorelai and co. jump through regulatory hoops before they could begin renovating the Dragonfly. Hold on. Let me look it up…
It’s episode 404, “Chicken or Beef.” Michel had to come to the town meeting to help give a presentation on why they should be allowed to renovate the Dragonfly, a presentation Tayor promptly derailed. (Sometimes Taylor really ticks me off.)

I don’t know what ethnicity Gypsy is. And I don’t know much about Rose Abdoo, either, except that she also plays a Spanish teacher (Senorita Rodriguez) on That’s So Raven, which my daughters are always watching. I’d love to learn more about the more minor players in Gilmore Girls, but they don’t usually get too much of the spotlight.
