What do you think of the new logo?

So, I was playing around with the Gimp today, and I made a new logo for the site. It’s the one with the eyebrow over the “m.” (If you don’t see it, try SHIFT+refreshing your web browser.)

Or better yet, here it is:

What do you think?

I also tried it with the eyebrow over the “o,” but I thought that was too creepy.

The theme still doesn’t look quite right with IE. I know what I need to do to make it look reasonably good with IE7. But I haven’t gotten around to it, because it requires rearranging all the HTML (using 20’th century technology), because IE doesn’t support all the style-sheet features the other browsers support. And unfortunately, some of the graphics will never look quite right with IE6. C’est la vie, I guess. Sad

I vote for eyebrow over the O. Otherwise, you don’t realize it’s an eyebrow.

How come, like an idiot, I faithfully click Remember me on this computer, and no one ever does?

Does it have to be an eyebrow?

Really? Wow. Didn’t expect that answer. You don’t find it a little spooky? Like the O is staring at you or something? It also doesn’t have to be “an eyebrow.” Yes, the black arc is inspired by the shape of a woman’s eyebrow (acually, Lauren Graham’s), but it could just be a shape that flows the “il” into the rest of the word.

On the other hand, putting it over the O gives the logo more balance.

How come, like an idiot, I faithfully click Remember me on this computer, and no one ever does?

Do you mean the “Remember me” feature doesn’t work for you? Or that no one on the computer never remembers you? Smiling (I was having trouble with the “Remember me” feature, but I believe I got it fixed some time ago.)
