(Gilmore Girls fan site)Here are some clips from the pilot of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s project, The Return of Jezebel James (still a working title, BTW), starring Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose. I found pieces of what I love of classic Gilmore Girls in this new show. I also know that between the clips, there’s a deep, involving storyline. It’s classic Amy Sherman-Palladino.
Fox has picked up the show for 13 episodes, to start next Spring. (Ugh.) The big question is whether it can pick up enough of an audience quickly enough for Fox not to cancel it before it even gets off the ground. It can’t pull a Gilmore Girls and discover most of its fans after the first few seasons. It has to do well within the first few episodes. Fox is famous for cancelling great shows before they got off the ground. But I guess at least I have plenty of time to pray before then…
But back to the news, EW.com also has an interview with Amy Sherman-Palladino about Jezebel James.
