This may be stretching it, but I know some Gilmore Girls fans who have said they loved Roswell. I know I really liked the show, because it filled that space in my life between Babylon 5 and Gilmore Girls. I even have used Roswell as an example for life lessons, as we also use GG.

In “Hay Bale Maze,” April says, “You know what they say: What happens in Roswell stays in Roswell.”

In response, Lorelai asks, “Hmm. Do they say that?”

Of course, me being me, I had to ask Google. And I found out that, no, “they” don’t say it… Unless maybe they say it in Roswell, and it stays in Roswell.

But even if “they” don’t say it, occasionally someone does. One such someone is Mr. Y (named such because the name “Mr. X” was already taken). He said this in an exclusive video interview on the 1957— er, 1967— er, 1947 UFO landing in Roswell, New Mexico. I don’t want to give away too many secrets. But the truth is, it wasn’t so much of a UFO as it was… an RV.

Seriously, though, I also found a “What happens in Roswell stays in Roswell” T-shirt in Panoche’s Utah Shadow store on eBay.
